Who we are

We invest in businesses, not exits.

TPA Capital is an independent private equity investor focused on UK SMEs. We commit up to £30m alongside ambitious management teams to support long-term growth.

The evergreen nature of our funds gives us flexibility — we act in the best interest of each investment, free from a rigid exit timeline. Our structure allows us to make quick, decisive decisions without bureaucracy.

Trust, Partnership and Ambition sit at the centre of how we work. Those three values inform every investment we make and every relationship we build.

Our values

Three principles, applied without compromise.

01

Trust

We do what we say we'll do. Long-term relationships are built on transparency, candour, and consistent action through every market cycle.

02

Partnership

We work with management — not over them. We bring capital, network and operational support, while respecting the team that built the business.

03

Ambition

We back bold plans. We help management identify and execute on organic and inorganic growth opportunities others might miss.

Flexible capital for ambitious teams

We are an independent private equity investor with offices in London, focused on partnering with the management teams of UK small and medium-sized enterprises.

Our story

Built around the businesses we back.

TPA Capital invests up to £30m in exciting businesses to support the growth plans of ambitious management teams.

The evergreen nature of our funds provides flexibility and means we act in the best interest of each investment — without the constraints of a fund clock or forced exit. Our structure facilitates quick and decisive decision making, free of unnecessary bureaucracy.

We are deliberately structured to behave the way the best partners do: flexible when flexibility is needed, decisive when speed matters, and always aligned with the long-term interests of the company.

As a team we maintain the core values of Trust, Partnership and Ambition at the centre of everything we do.

By the numbers

A focused mandate, executed with discipline.

No fixed term, no forced exits. We hold our investments for the right amount of time — not a prescribed amount of time.

UK SME

Core focus

We specialise in the British SME market, with selective international exposure where the thesis and team merit it.

Investment approach

Identifying opportunity, realising potential

We back exciting businesses with strong fundamentals and ambitious management teams. Alignment of interests is everything: our flexibility on hold period and our reluctance to load investments with day-one external debt mean our decisions are focused on optimising long-term growth — not engineering returns through leverage.

How we partner

Active, supportive, never overbearing.

01

Strategic clarity

We help sharpen the long-term plan: where to focus, where to build, where to walk away. We bring rigour without rigidity.

02

Inorganic growth

We have deep experience identifying, executing and integrating bolt-on M&A — including multiple add-ons across our portfolio.

03

Talent & governance

We support management with senior hires, board construction and operating cadence so the business can scale without breaking.

Because our funds are evergreen, we are happy to compound value over many years rather than rush to a transactional exit.

Greg Allen

"Since founding TPA Capital LLP (formerly Capitis Consulting Limited) in 2013, I have spent the past few years working extensively with our portfolio companies in close partnership with management. This has led to a number of successful exits, for both our management teams and us as investors. We are actively looking for opportunities where we can support companies in the next phase of their journey.

I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Deloitte's Banking and Capital Markets team in London and subsequently worked as a consultant at Credit Suisse's Head Office in Zurich. I spent the next few years working as an independent consultant with a broad portfolio of businesses, with a focus on deploying effective growth strategies and maximizing shareholder value. It was great being operationally involved in a variety of businesses where I was able to lead the implementation of new systems and processes as well as help establish key commercial relationships. I believe this hands-on experience has proven to be immensely valuable to the way I now conduct and support our investments.

When not working or spending time with my family. I take an active interest in politics and global affairs. I have a passion for most sporting activities, particularly running and mountain pursuits, borne from having lived in Switzerland as a child. I set a world record playing rugby at the North Pole and have also completed numerous marathons for charity, including the 2018 Marathon Des Sables."

"After completing a degree in Economics, my career journey has covered a variety of disciplines, centered around understanding and supporting businesses at various stages of their lifecycles.

For several years I worked as an advisor, within PwC and an investment bank, primarily advising on M&A transactions. Wanting to be closer to the coal face, I spent a couple of years working within corporates that were at very different stages of their business journey. The combination of the above led me to pursue a career in private equity, where I felt I could put the broad range of skills I had learnt to good use.

Immediately prior to joining TPA I spent a few years at Sovereign Capital, a highly active UK mid-market private equity investor, helping to execute extensive buy and build strategies and successfully completing over 20 transactions in both the UK and Europe.

TPA offers a unique opportunity to apply the experience I have built through working with businesses to overcome challenges and drive growth. Our belief is that the role of an investor should be as a supportive partner to realise a shared vision.

Outside of work I busy myself trying to balance the demands of family, finding time to explore the world and searching for the will to exercise in some form or another."

"I specialise in identifying new investment opportunities and actively supporting portfolio companies through the next phase of their growth journey.

With a decade of experience in private equity, previously at Queen's Park Equity and Rutland Partners, and board-level involvement across diverse sectors, I am passionate about partnering with entrepreneurial management teams to help them scale and achieve their growth ambitions.

Before entering private equity, I gained valuable experience at Rothschild & Co, in M&A and strategic advisory, and began my career at EY's transaction advisory team, where I built a strong foundation across various service lines.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my young family and making the most of the outdoors whenever possible."

"As an Investment Manager, my role is to work with the team in originating, evaluating and executing new investment opportunities as well as working with our portfolio companies with their growth ambitions.

Prior to joining TPA, I started my career at Ernst & Young where I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in their Financial Services Audit team. I then moved to the Foresight Group, an alternative assets and private equity investment manager where I primarily supported their Venture Capital portfolio. TPA offers a fantastic opportunity for me to use the experience I've acquired so far in my career and apply it to both the business and the portfolio, to drive growth.

Outside of the office, I enjoy most sports where I previously competed for England in Thai Boxing. I also enjoy swimming, cycling and running and have participated in the 2021 London Triathlon."

Ollie Wratten

"As an Investment Associate, my role is to work with the team in evaluating and executing investment opportunities, originating new business and working alongside our portfolio companies.

Having started my career in the Audit team at EY, I spent the three years prior to joining TPA at Alantra, advising on M&A transactions across the Technology and Services sectors. TPA offers a great opportunity for me to build on my previous experience and help businesses realise their growth ambitions.

Outside of work, I am an avid sports fan and can usually be found watching either football or cricket. I also like to explore new places and sample the local cuisine whenever I can."

Jonny Williams
Head of North America

Jonny Williams

"As Head of North American Investment Strategy at TPA Capital, I lead the sourcing, execution, and management of new investments across the US.

With over eight years of experience working with lower-middle-market businesses in both corporate finance and private equity—including at board level—I've gained a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities businesses face across various sectors.

At TPA, I'm passionate about partnering with ambitious businesses to support them in reaching the next phase of their growth journey. We have a unique approach, with no reliance on third-party debt or external fundraising, which allows us to act swiftly on the right opportunities.

Outside of work, I'm a keen sports fan, especially American football (Vikings) and UK soccer (Arsenal). I also enjoy outdoor activities like running, kitesurfing, and hiking."

Mike Innes
Non-Executive

Mike Innes

"As Non-Executive, I support and advise the TPA team on all aspects of the investment process.

I was previously a senior partner at a leading mid-market private equity firm where I invested in a wide range of transactions through several economic cycles and held various leadership roles. I now enjoy applying my twenty years' private equity experience to help the TPA team make new deals, grow existing investments and develop the firm. Before private equity, I was a solicitor with Clifford Chance and founded my own legal recruitment firm.

Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my grown-up family, supporting Scottish rugby and playing a range of sports, including golf and padel."

Nick Stiles
Head of Commercial Property

Nick Stiles

"As Head of Commercial Property, I am responsible for managing TPA's real estate assets and supporting our portfolio companies on real estate matters.

Following a MSc in Real Estate at the University of Reading I have had a varied career in commercial property working for a range of companies including Tesco, Frogmore, Pears Global and GoPuff. This broad experience has given me a good understanding of different property markets, locations and stakeholders, which has been useful for the diversity of opportunities we see at TPA. Being an 'evergreen' fund, we have a flexible approach to investing and can be opportunistic with sectors and business plans. Outside of work most of my time is spent with my young family.

If I get a spare moment I can usually be found on my bike and if I get more than a moment, I like to spend my time in the mountains."

Jo O'Sullivan
Head of Finance

Jo O'Sullivan

"As Head of Finance, my role covers everything from financial reporting for TPA Capital and our associated companies to supporting the team, our portfolio companies and our investments.

I am a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry having held various roles within both larger institutions such as Wells Fargo and smaller firms such as Square Mile a fund research and asset management house. In my last role I independently headed up the firm's finance function with day-to-day responsibility for all in-house financial matters and ultimately took the company through an acquisition. TPA offers me an incredible opportunity to utilise this experience and expand my skills to learn the acquisition process from a different perspective.

In my spare time I love to travel, preferably to warmer climates, and to explore new places. Outside of this, I enjoy spending time with friends and family or getting lost in a good book."

Nazinna Gantin
Investment Executive

Nazinna Gantin

As Investment Executive, Nazinna works alongside the TPA team to support the origination, analysis and execution of new investment opportunities, as well as the ongoing review of the firm's portfolio companies.
